Baggu + Mocuin = Chic

Just when I thought things couldn't get better with Baggu - they did. In fact, they got a whole lot better. Baggu has teamed up with Brooklyn's textile designer, Caitlin Mocuin to offer an even smarter way to bring home the groceries. Suddenly I'm seeing zig-zags and neon.

Get more of Mocuin here and be sure to get your Baggu on as well. This line will sell out soon.

March Read

I can't find a good picture of this book to save my life. Rick Bragg's, All Over but the Shoutin' is a beautiful memoir/tribute to his mother. Rick was born and raised in Piedmont, Alabama. He's the son of an alcoholic father and an amazingly resilient mother.

One of my favorite quotes...

"I know that even as the words of George Wallace rang through my Alabama, the black family who lived down the dirt road from our house sent fresh-picked corn and other food to the poor white lady and her three sons, because they knew their daddy had run off, because hungry does not have a color.".....

Put it on your to read list (somewhere in the next top 5!). Warning: the end will make you WEEP!!

What would Audrey Hepburn drive in 2011? A little Mini Cooper, that's what! Crossing my fingers & toes that this little green car comes home with me soon.

Pause - /poz/

He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed. ~ Albert Einstein.

There comes a pause, for human strength will not endure to dance without cessation; and everyone must reach the point at length of absolute prostration. ~ Lewis Carroll

To pause means to take....

a brief suspension.
a temporary rest.
a time of reflection.
a momentary stop.
a little breather.

Life is not a dress rehearsal. Maybe it's not so much about knowing when to make decisions or take action as much as it is about knowing when to pause. When to be silent. When to wait. When to "hold".

The music has faded and the curtains drawn. It's time for an intermission. This young lady (that's me!) is off to find her dressing room. I am going to take the time to pause.

The only sound is the click-clacking of my heels echoing in the corridor. By the way, my dressing room is the one with a gold star on the door. You have one too.

Act II will surely be worth the wait.
